Remember when it was cool to send a fax?

Hell yeah, that shit was cool. And advanced. Today I faxed - not because I wanted to - because I HAD TO. As cool as faxing still is (I'll admit, I was stoked), there are much easier and secured ways to send documents through the digital waves. So why hasn't it died? Huge corporations, organizations and medical companies STILL RELY ON FAX. Duh, because it's easy and cool. You don't have to scan it, copy it, attach it, email it. Just put it in and go! (twss)

Reasons to keep faxing: 1) It's cool 2) It's fashionable 3) It's non-hackable

This isn't the first time I've talked about faxing. Damnitt, and it won't be the last.

What the hell was up with free printers? Every generic PC or Apple computer came with an incentive... YOU GET A FREE PRINTER!



That shit was sick. I was stoked when I got a free printer. You start thinking about all the free junk you can get with your computer rather than the actual computer itself. Americans cannot resist free stuff. It's a fact.

Whatever, it turns out free printers were crazy bogus though. When was the last time you actually printed something on a shitty inkjet printer anyway? Plus, most were only free with rebates. It's marketing genius though. Your cash flow is relative - you pay full price now, and wait 3-6 months for your $150. Unless you are some loser without a job, you probably aren't going to miss that money. So most likely you forgot about, skipped or gave up on the rebate money showing up. You have a printer though, and it seemed like you got it for free. That's all that matters.

Bottom Line: Not that cool anymore.
